London trip Macy

- One of the reasons I am here as an exchange student is to make friends and share experiences, and the trip to London was a perfect opportunity. I figured that, because the trip was for English and to an English speaking country, I might actually know what's going on. Turns out the Slovak class will be speaking in Slovak, who knew? I felt very lost most of the time, just following the group mindlessly until someone translated what we were doing. Sometimes I felt like an inconvenience, having to be constantly catered to. I tried my best to stay out of the way. Even though I want to be surrounded by Slovak to learn quickly, the trip made it difficult to absorb any information. This didn't hinder my experience though. London spoke for itself!
A few of my favorite sites were the Sky Garden and the London Dungeon. It was amazing to see the entire city from up high; I got plenty of pictures. I don’t think there were any places that I disliked, although some I enjoyed more than others probably because I was more exhausted at times. Some sites, like the London Dungeon, were pure fun and I really enjoyed it, but others, like the museum and art gallery, I deeply appreciated because of their beauty and history. It was quite a privilege to have been able to go. I am so grateful to Mr. Kovačik for allowing me to join them and for going out of his way to make sure everything worked out. I can tell he truly cares about his students and did his best to make sure they get the most out of this experience. London was absolutely amazing! I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity.
